Strong no bullshit FL who is clear about what she wants. She has a proper backbone and isn’t going to be walked all over by everyone but also understands she doesn’t have to go around face-slapping people all day; sometimes it’s better to smile, let go and put your energy somewhere more useful like food and money! She has rather OP powers due to being an evolved human fighting zombies before she transmigrated, but because it’s a comedy it fits the story and doesn’t make it over the top. Very cute animals that get lots of dialogue and screen time.

This was one of my favourite novels for a long time. MXTX really has a way with unraveling all the mysteries and characters by going between the past and the present. All the characters, even the side characters and minor characters are so well fleshed out. No one is flat, they all have their own backgrounds and motivations and ideology; you don’t necessarily agree, but you can see where it comes from. Yi City has got to be my favourite arc, my heart is scarred. And, let’s not forget the best confession scene ever.

PS. The MVP of this story is the incense burner and Bichen.

The ML in this novel is everything you would expect from a rich second-generation young master; spoilt, entitled and conceited. But his redemption as he goes through the hardships of life told through the eyes of the loyal MC is very admirable and touching.

I’m sure this needs very little introducing. It’s the third of MXTX’s works. The plot, the devotion, the angst, the characters; all the ingredients for a beautiful danmei. All the adaptations (audio drama, manhua, donghua) are also top notch; especially the art in the manhua, it’s god-tier.

My only complaint is that there’s no ppp. You know they do the ppp, but it’s not shown at all. After the great ppp scenes in MXTX’s 1st and 2nd work I’m thoroughly disappointed, but I guess we can’t blame the author, it’s probably the fault of Chinese censorship; them damn crabs.

This novel is in a league of it’s own. I can’t decide if it’s Plot with Porn or Porn with Plot; probably the latter. A very imaginative take of ancient Grindr. I honestly died laughing MC is obsessing over his precious collection and ML is trying very hard to let it be to keep him happy.

It’s so short but hurts so much. The MC is great; loyal, resolute and strong in character. The length of this novel is just perfect, enough to build up the characters but not too long that it drags out. The whole novel builds up to when the emperor realises the MC is dead and when it does happen, it’s so satisfying but sad at the same time.

First of MXTX’s works. You can tell her writing’s not as mature compared to her later words but it’s still outstanding enough in it’s own right. MC’s thoughts and interactions with the system are very entertaining. There is meat at the end.

Yes, it’s very long and it does drag out at times. However, you can’t help but want to see their relationship develop. The MC and his team of fluffy pet balls are the cutest! Most importantly, there are snippets of meat throughout the novel. If you make it to the end, the extras are a must read; they go through his relationship with his family back on Earth and you get a mouthful of dog food between the MC and ML.
